Nobody knows your child the way that you do, and I wanna empower you that you have everything that you need in your instinct to raise a healthy, happy child.
In our world today, it seems like we’ve been bombarded with this media messaging that we don’t know what to do because we’re not doctors, and every little thing, we have to consult a doctor for. But the fact of the matter is, our bodies are innately designed to combat common pathogens and so one of the first responses is a fever.
I know new parents who will, at the drop of a hat, oh my gosh, there’s a fever, and they’re gonna run to the doctor like something’s really, really, really severely wrong.
But I want you to know that a fever is not only beneficial because it’s a sign that your child’s body is working properly to kill the pathogen, whatever it is, but it’s also a blessing because it’s doing what it’s supposed to do.
You child’s body is doing what it’s supposed to do. And there’s actually a really great book, I recommend it for all new parents, it’s called How to Raise a Healthy Child In Spite of Your Doctor, by Dr. Robert Mendelsohn.
So this book was written before the pharmaceutical takeover of our innate intelligence about how to care for our children.
And it’s kind of old school, but it’s common sense, it gives you wisdom, it gives you really easy remedies that you can do at home, and it empower parents to not run to the doctor for every little sniffle.
